So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
There is just so much to write about and what I'm learning that I didn't really know where to start. Then it just dawned on me, why not start from the beginning of the bible? So I'm going to interpret each part, section by section in present day and what it means for us living in the world today.
Let's start with Genesis from the Old Testament in the very beginning and how God created the Heavens and Earth. What I really want to focus on is the Sabbath Day (aka Sunday). The reason this is called the Sabbath Day is because after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (which happened on Sunday, the first day of the week) the Lord's disciples began calling this the holy day in which we should observe for our Father.
Truth. I used to attend church because my family made me go. As I got older I started to understand my faith a little more and it really wasn't until I moved to Okinawa (2 years ago) when I realized I was actually living against my faith and what I truly believed in. I decided to make a change and my family and I began attending church every Sunday. This doesn't mean because you attend church every Sunday that you are now a believer of Christ and all of your sins are repented. But a start of the stepping stone to follow Jesus is attending church every Sunday and keeping this day holy. I posted two pictures because the first pic is what most of us want to do on a Sunday, and by all means you can, but top priority is showing thanks to God. Keep Sunday a day for praying, a day of reflection, a day of thanks, and especially a day for the ones you love most.
